Corgi Thinking
I believe I shall try to blog more regularly. I am both horrified by the prospect of being seen and full of Need to Infodump about LPS corgis.
Littlest Pet Shop is probably my favorite toyline of all time; there are a few others I am about equally passionate about, but LPS is the only line I currently collect that I have a deep childhood connection to. It's a toyline with a terrifyingly deep backlog and history, and there's still so much for me to learn about it.
My favorite Littlest Pet Shop mold is the original corgi. It was dropped towards the end of the original 2004-2007 look for the brand, and I was instantly in love. There's a few major factors that I adore about this look. The most important is, hands down, the expression of the mold. LPS corgis have a distinct anxiety about them. No matter the faceup, there is a hint of fear and sadness to them. To me, this made them easy to connect to; they were full of hard feelings. Secondly, the mold is prone to an error in assembly that, to me, heightens the figure's charm. It is extremely common to find LPS corgis that stand with only three legs on the floor, with their fourth hind leg lifted off the ground. This is caused by the hind legs being rotated at an angle when they are glued to the rear of the pet. It's silly and cute!
I am filled with the anxiety of one of the corgis now so I shall break off here but. I love them.
